Kathleen Clontz Poole

Kathleen Clontz Poole, 65, of Shiloh Road, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Thomasville Medical Center after a six-month illness. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Churchland Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Ray N. Howell IV. Burial will follow in National Cemetery in Salisbury at 1 p.m. Mrs. Poole was born June 26, 1942, in Davidson County to Baxter Augusta Clontz and Beulah Sigmon Clontz. She married RayVon Poole, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1993. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Charles, Elmer, Billy and Gilbert, and a sister, Mildred Wyatt. Surviving are a son, Timothy Poole and his wife, Donna, of Lexington; a daughter, Dawn Shepherd and her husband, Jody, of Lexington; grandchildren Mary Poole, T.R. Poole and Amber Shepherd; great-grandchildren Bethany Smith and Makayla Mitchell; brothers Bobby Clontz and his wife, Fostine, Julian Clontz and Paul Clontz and his wife, Jewel, all of Lexington; and sisters Nancy Clement and Lorene Hill, both of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
