Kathryn Mattox Howe, age 82, of Numa Byerly Road, Lexington went home to be with the Lord, Thursday afternoon
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday night and at other times at the home of her daughter on Numa Byerly Road.
Kathryn was born in Prince George County, VA January 6, 1930 to Levi Clifton Mattox and Gracie Cotton Mattox. She was a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture after 21 years of service. Giving and loving unconditionally to everyone she meet was a gift that she received from her Lord. She shared Love and the Lord with her family and everyone she came in contact with in life. She was preceded in death her parents and a daughter, Judy Diane Gutierrez.
Surviving are, daughter, Sonja Branham and husband James of Lexington; sons, Ronald “Bubba” Howe of Mocksville, Michael Edwin Howe and wife Bonnie of Lexington; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Bernice Moore of Hopewell, VA; brother, Alton Mattox of Wavely, VA.
