Kathryn Weaver Roach, of Hege Drive, died Friday March 28, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington after 93 full wonderful years with family and friends, she went peacefully to be with her eternal father
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Amanda Harmon officiating services.
There is no formal visitation. The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter on Wafford Circle in Lexington.
Kathryn was born February 26, 1921 in Davidson County to Rufus Weaver and Cora Craver Weaver. She was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, and also a member of the VFW Post 3074 Ladies Auxiliary. As a woman of execptional faith, she devoted her life to her family. She was married to Arthur “AD” Davis Roach Sr. for 42 years before his death in 1983, and was also preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sons; Arthur “Bobby” Roach Jr. and wife Jane of Fayetteville North Carolina and Johnny Roach and wife Christine of Lexington, three daughters; Susan Knotts and husband Sam of South Carolina, Gwynn Dowd and Lynn Owens and husband Tony, both of Lexington, and twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
