Kathy Conte

Kathy Conte, age 71 of Lexington, passed away Friday evening at Wake Forest Baptist Atrium Health in Winston Salem. A Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Kathy was born in Davidson County on August 3, 1951 to Nickolas and Margaret Leigh Foster Conte. She was a graduate of West Davidson High School and Catawba College. She was a teacher with Lexington City Schools for 38 years. In her years of teaching she choose to call the children Conte’s Kids as she made sure they had what they needed to succeed. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her parents. Kathy is survived by Jason “Little Brother” Byers and wife Emily, her God Children, John, Amelia and Seraphina Byers; cousin Richard Green and wife Eve and their children, Michael, Ash, Rebecca, India, Drew; and many dear friends.
