Kathy Walser Deal

Kathy Walser Deal, 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, surrounded by love and comfort.

Born on July 29, 1955, to the late William John and Carrie Eleanor James Walser, Kathy lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and devotion to her family. She was a faithful member of Good Hope Church, where she found strength, community, and purpose.

Kathy is survived by her beloved son, Jason Walser (Tina) of Winston-Salem; her sister, Karen Lynn Weaver of Lexington; and her cherished grandchildren: Christopher Walser (Cheyenne), William Lawson (Charles), Hunter Lawson (Layla), and Will Walser. Each held a special place in her heart, and she took immense joy in being their grandmother.

Kathy will be remembered as a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a devoted sister, and a true friend. Her warm, nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy of love and compassion will live on in all who knew her.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—tending to her flowers, spending time at the beach, and being surrounded by her family and friends. One of her most endearing traditions was putting stickers on every card she sent—no matter who you were, you could always count on that small, thoughtful touch that made her cards uniquely hers.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Good Hope Church, 10253 Hampton Rd, Lexington, NC 27295.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kathy’s honor to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln Ste C, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
