Kathy Jane Mallard Floyd

Kathy Jane Mallard Floyd, 60, of West Old US Highway 64, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Reeds Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter on Sundance Trail. Mrs. Floyd was born April 19, 1953, in Davidson County, to Robert Anthony Mallard and Zelma Alexander Mallard. She was past Vice President of Winston-Salem Triad Lupus Foundation, previous co-owner of Lexington Gun Show, and retired from PPG Industries. At her church she was a member of the choir. Her father preceded her in death. Surviving are her loving husband, 1SG (Ret)David Michael “Mike” Floyd, of the home; daughter, Katina Pressley and husband Marty of Lexington; grandsons, Zeb and Zander Pressley; her mother of Lexington; brother, Robbie Mallard of Lexington; and sisters, Diane Tate and husband Bill of Lexington and Jeanne Hix and husband Ron of Mills River.
