Kathy Shawn Hamilton

Kathy Shawn Hamilton, age 47 of Lexington, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home. Kathy was born September 21, 1969 in Baltimore, MD. She graduated in 1988 from Lexington Senior High School. Surviving are her Mother, Andrea Hamilton Schwartz and step-father, Preston M. Schwartz of Lexington. Her sons, Morgan Hamilton of Lexington; Munir Ahmed of Texas; daughter, Sara-Anne Ahmed of Lexington; brothers, Michael Hamilton of Washington, DC, Owen Schwartz and Paul Schwartz of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Earl Thorne. To Mom: I love her to the moon and back. There is nothing that will fill the void in my heart and until we are reunited a piece of me will always be with her. She was a singer, an artist, a teacher and my best friend. I will always remember her laugh, which she was self-conscious of but always brought joy. Her beautiful eyes that never seemed to judge and only saw you. This loss reminds us all to seek loved ones in times of adversity for strength and make every second count. Until we meet again, be in peace.
