Kathy Drawdy Leonard

Kathy Drawdy Leonard, age 59, of Michael Alley, Lexington passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 2:30 until 4:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home. Kathy was born in Davidson County, February 17, 1953 to Murel Jack Drawdy and Betty Geraldine Leonard Drawdy. She was a former employee of Council Craftsman furniture; and a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Linda Drawdy Pickett on May 12, 2011. Kathy is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Leonard of the home; daughter, Jennifer Green and husband Destry of Lexington; son, Billy Thomason of Lexington; grandchildren, Misty, Jessica, Tyler, Aliyah, Tre, Abbie and Kendall; great-granddaughter, Layla; step-son, Michael Lee Leoanrd and wife Leighann of Lexington; and her special pet, Bocephus.
