Kathy Louise Essick Phillips

Kathy Louise Essick Phillips, 44, died Saturday March 12, 2011 at her home. A funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Salisbury NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday. Mrs. Phillips was born December 18, 1966 in Forsyth County to Edgar Eugene Essick and Annie Amos Essick. She was a member of The American Pool Assoication. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Mikie” Phillips; and a brother Steven Vanhoy. Surviving are her son, Edgar “Bubba” Essick of the home; two step sons, Michael Phillips of Linwood and Larry Phillips of Lexington; one granddaughter, Autum Phillips; two sisters, Cynthia Baker and husband, Thomas, of Linwood and Kristie Davis and husband, Eddie, of Lexington; nieces, Brittany Baker, Courtney Baker, and Kristina Brown, all of Linwood; nephew, Christopher Davis of Lexington; and special friend, Gerri Hughes of Lexington.
