Kathy Phillips Wright

Kathy Mae Phillips Wright, 53, of Cow Palace Road, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at her home after a sudden illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Open Door Baptist Church, where she was a member, by Dr. Gary Gibson and the Revs. Wayne Sechrest and Clyde Akers. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Wright was born April 15, 1953, in Davidson County to Noah Nornel Phillips and Ilene Duncan Phillips Leach. She was employed with Lexington Memorial Hospital where she worked in the accounting department. Mrs. Wright was a member of Civitans and was very active with the Special Olympics. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gwen Williams. Surviving are her husband, Jerry Wright of the home; two sons, Shane Wright and his wife, Sandy, of Advance and Jason Wright and his wife, Treasure, of Asheboro; one daughter, Stacey Wright of the home; five grandchildren, Stone Wright, Brandon Wright, Christopher Wright, Joseph Owen and Megan Owen; one brother, Larry Phillips and his wife, Gwen, of Lexington; and one sister, Gerri Owens of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home. Memorials may be directed to Open Door Baptist Church, P.O.
