Katy Harrell Daniels

Katy Harrell Daniels, age 74, of Hope Drive, Lexington passed away Friday night at Forsyth Medical center.   Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Egbert Craven officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.   Family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 until 12:45 prior to the service and at other times at the home.   Katy was born in Jones County, NC June 4, 1938 to Herman Harrell and Della Mercer Harrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Brandon; brothers, Edward, Herbert, A.J., Willie and Sidney Harrell.   Surviving are her husband, Robert (Bob) Daniels of the home; son, Robert (Rob) Daniels, Jr. (Cynthia)of Welcome; granddaughter, Deborah Michell Curtis; great-grandson, Roland Curtis; sister, Virginia Justice (Shelton) of Warsaw.   Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International, PO Box 285, Lexington, NC 27293.   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net.
