Kay Eloise Story

Kay Eloise Thomason Story, 84, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, January 12, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive family and friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Story was born in Davidson County on September 16, 1937, to Charles Oliver Thomason and Lecy Potts Thomason. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Salisbury. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was a published poet, in her spare time, she loved reading her Bible, and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Alfred Story; her brother, Charles Thomason Jr.; and one sister, Nancy Franks.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Belinda Kay Story Wagner (Terry) of Lexington and John Kevin Story (Michelle) of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Jason Story, Nelson Wagner (Samantha), Melissa Ketner (Steven), Brittany Weaver, and Harley Sloan; and five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Calleigh, Addie, Jax, and Maddie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292
