Kay Horne Taylor

Jewell (Kay) Horne Taylor, age 61, of East Old Highway 64, Lexington passed away Tuesday (December 28, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House.  A memorial service will be 11:00 am Friday (December 31, 2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service and at other times at the home of son Chad Taylor, 349 Spartan Drive, Lexington.   Kay was born in Robeson County, NC, February 19, 1949 to Wilson Horne and Louise Johnson Moore Horne. She was a former employee of Foam Tech and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Taylor who died August 11, 2010; sister, Brenda Partin and a brother Larry Horne.   Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and is survived by a loving family; one daughter, Angela Green and husband Scott of Lexington; two sons, Chad Taylor and wife Angela of Lexington and John Wayne Horne and wife Jackie of South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Sincea, Brittany, Logan, Makayla, Jacob, Corbin, Brock, Marvin and Olivia; one great-grandchild, Ethan; one sister Martha Winn and husband Buzz of Lexington and one brother, Steve Horne and wife Nita of Lexington.   Memorials should be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292 or to Freedom Baptist Church, PO Box 1242, Lexington, NC  27293.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
