Kaye Lynn Weaver Leonard, 57, of Hampton Street, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, in Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a sudden illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Psalm 91 Church by the Rev. Max Shoaf. Burial will be in Psalm 91 Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Leonard was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Davidson County to Lloyd Edward Weaver and Wilma Louise Ridenhour Weaver. She was an employee of Alston Brook Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by a grandson, A.J. Blanton, in 2000.
Surviving are her husband, James E. Leonard of the home; two sons, Eddie Shaw and his wife, Debbie, of California and Jody Shaw of Lexington; two stepsons, Jimmy Leonard and his wife, Teresa, of Denton and Jay Leonard and his wife, Angie, of Concord; one daughter, Tish Blanton and her husband, Adam, of Lexington; two stepdaughters, Kim Flippin and her husband, Sammy, of Thomasville and Debora Fellers and her husband, Dale, of Silver Valley; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her parents of Lexington; one brother, Mark Weaver of Lexington; and one sister, Ruth Ann Newsom of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, and other times at 2901 W. Center St. Ext.
