Kellie Jean Armstrong Dickson, 57, a resident of Lexington, unexpectedly went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2023. Kellie was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on June 6, 1965 to Jack Preston and Beverly Steuert Armstrong. She worked for Progress Rail, a subsidiary of Caterpillar, for many years. Kellie was an accomplished vocalist who loved music, being the frontwoman in a Rock band, and praising God with her voice. Singing was Kellie’s passion and she did so whenever she could, which was all the time.
Kellie was a generous and selfless person who always lent a listening ear to those who needed an outlet or advice. She was a godly woman who overflowed with the love of Jesus. The room became brighter when Kellie walked into it. You couldn’t help but smile in her presence, and she brought out the best in those she encountered. She loved animals, especially horses, and enjoyed the farm she had with her husband, Robby. He has been Kellie’s best friend since she was 17 years old. Kellie’s friends knew her as loyal, authentic, kind, and the life of the party. Her daughter, Teresa, knew Kellie as her biggest cheerleader, her rock, and closest friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Kellie is preceded in death by her father
In lieu of flowers, we’d encourage you to consider where you’re spending eternity and follow Kellie’s example to live each day to the fullest. Please have intentional conversations about your final wishes to prepare your loved ones for when you are no longer with them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Robby Dickson, of the home; her daughter, Teresa Dickson of Louisville, Kentucky; her mother, Beverly Armstrong, of Kernersville, North Carolina; and two brothers, Mike & Alexandra Armstrong of Deltona, Florida and Jeff & See Armstrong of Reston, Virginia.
