Kenda Mitchum

Kenda Denise Mitchum, 60, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, April 15 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ms. Mitchum was born January 16, 1960 in Davidson County to Keith Craver Mitchum and Sylvia Michael Pleasant.  She taught English at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and was a member of Beulah United Church of Christ.  Her father preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother and her step-father, Billy Pleasant, of Lexington; her daughter, Victoria Nicole Langevin of Jamestown; her sisters, Karri Gulledge of Welcome, and Kelly Waddle and husband, Rick, of Chester, VA; her niece Jenna Nicholson and husband, Danny Ray, her nephew, Dylan Gulledge; her great-niece, Ella Ray Nicholson; her great-nephew, Miles Nicholson; and her special dog, Jackson.
