Kenith Allen Simmons, 64, of Sunbridge Care of High Point, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at High Point Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holloways Baptist Church by Pastor Dan Simmons.
Mr. Simmons was born in Brunswick County, on February 12, 1943, to Newman R. Simmons and Erma Coleman Simmons. He served in the U.S. Army and was a heavy equipment operator at Frank Horne Construction.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Norris Simmons of High Point; two sons, Kenith “Kenny” Allen Simmons Jr. of Lexington and Darryl Allen Simmons and wife, Brenda, of Ash; a daughter, Jennifer Simmons of Lexington; three brothers, Dan Simmons and wife, Peggy, of Georgia, Jack Simmons and wife, Debbie, of South Carolina, and Jerry Simmons of Raleigh; sisters, Shirley Britt of Lexington, Pat Lowder and husband, William of Albermarle, Betty Ross of Welcome, and Becky Crayton and husband, Tim, of Troy; and two grandchildren, Kerigan Nicole Simmons and Makayla Leanne Simmons.
