Kenneth Edward Deal

Kenneth Edward Deal, Sr., 78, of Freewill Circle in Lexington went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 20th.  Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 24th at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Doug McGee, Johnny Gobble and Grady Blackburn officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, August 23rd at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.  Kenneth was born on August 6, 1940 in Cabarrus County to James Ivey Deal and Myrtle Lee Raymer Deal.  Kenneth was called to serve the Lord and pastored New Life Freewill Baptist Church for 38 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teresa Ann Deal; brothers, Don Deal and Gene Deal, and a sister, Pauline Love.  Surviving are his loving wife of the home, Bonnie Ann Gobble Deal; sons, Kenneth ‘June’ Deal, Jr. (Teresa) and Russell Deal; daughter, Juanita Koonts (Patrick); 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  The family would like to say a special thank you to all who cared for PawPaw.
