Kenneth Cicero Drum was born August 31 st , 1939 to Albert and Bernice Drum of the Saw Mills community in Caldwell County, North Carolina. He was a retired educator who worked for Davidson County Schools for 38 years, where he dedicated his life serving as a teacher, coach, guidance counselor, and director of special education. He is a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the Gideon’s International Davidson North Camp. He lived his Christianity through service, speaking as a Gideon at countless churches and regularly visiting the Davidson County Jail as a member of the Gideon Jail Ministry. Ken was an avid gardener who nurtured his roses much like his many students and loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judith Link Drum; two daughters, Leslye Haynes (Dion) and Sonya Drum; two granddaughters, Ivey Haynes (Derrick) and Victoria Haynes-Cini (Evan); two brothers, Gerald Drum and Alan Drum; and many other family members and friends who loved him.

A celebration of life will be 1 pm Thursday January 26, 2023 at Mt. Olivet UMC Church with a visitation prior from 12 pm until 1 pm.
