Kenneth Raymond Holmes

Kenneth Raymond Holmes, 86, of Lexington, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. A visitation will be held at a later date at the family’s home. Mr. Holmes was born May 4, 1935, in Nova Scotia, Canada, to Percy Logan Holmes and Margaret Vera Dana Holmes. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Holmes; and two sisters, Marie Wilson and Ruth Holmes. Surviving is his wife, Nellie Marie Parrish Holmes, of the home; one son, Curtis Holmes of Charlotte, three daughters, Karen Camero of Louisiana, Kathy Williams (Michael) of Charlotte, and Lisa Gex (Cal) of Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Jason (Sarah), Eric, Daniel (Easton), Logan, Joshua, Paolo, Cal, Kaitlyn; two great grandchildren, Emma and Leila. Also surviving is his feline companion, Koko. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 and/or Memorial Evangelical & Reformed Church, 3806 E. Old US Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27292.
