Kenneth Myers

February 5, 1960 — November 25, 2025

Lexington

Harry Kenneth Myers, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2025.

Born February 5, 1960, in Davidson County, Ken was the son of Ervin Kenneth Myers and Doris Jane Myers. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Stacy.

Ken is survived by his daughter Lindsay Chriscoe and her husband Marshall; his granddaughters Kenna, Sadie, and Hazel; his sisters Helen Benton (Bill) of Lexington and Katherine Clonts (Jerry) of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Ken believed deeply in friendship, and he was blessed with many close, lifelong friends he considered to be his brothers. Bobby Wood, Jerry and Don Gobble, Brian Wilson and the late Kent Everhart. He cherished his time with each of them. He also shared a special bond with his dog, Lucky, who stayed by his side until the very end.

He attended West Davidson High School and spent more than 20 years working at PPG Industries, followed by many years with Shaw Floors. Like his father, Ken was a lifelong painter and eventually retired from painting. Outside of work, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and motorcycle rider. He loved Virginia Tech football and remained loyal to the Dallas Cowboys, no matter what anyone said.

A man of service, Ken loved volunteering at Journey Church of Lexington, especially helping prepare meals for the community. He adored his granddaughters and every moment spent with them.

Ken leaves behind a legacy of overwhelming kindness. Those who knew him remember a gentle, loving soul. The kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and never let you return the favor. He will be incredibly missed by all.

In his final act of generosity, he donated his full body to science, believing in the importance of medical research and the impact it has on others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Services of Davidson County.
