Kenneth Lee Rush

Kenneth Lee Rush 79 passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House.    Ken was born in Logan County, WV on September 7, 1937 to William Hopkins Rush and Evalee Privett Rush.   Ken was preceded in death by his wife Karol White Rush in 2006.  He is survived by a son, David Randall Rush and wife Tammy of Lexington, NC; daughter Pamela Lynn Rush of Winston-Salem; grandson Kenyon Rush of Lexington; and two great grandchildren, Grayson and Allie Rush.   Ken worked in the Research & Development department at R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and retired with 31 years of loyal service.  He enjoyed reading and traveling.   The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.  A private service will be held at a later date.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.   The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Heidi Klepin for all her love and support during Ken’s illness.
