Kennith Dale “Nub” Johnson Jr., 54, of Eagles Nest Lane, died suddenly Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, and other times at the home of his father on Burkhart Road.
Mr. Johnson was born September 25, 1959, in Davidson County, to Kennith Dale Johnson Sr. and Essie Sue Kinney Johnson. He was owner/operator of Saddle Mountain Café and of the Baptist faith. In his spare time he loved to fish with his dad, and play golf with his son. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Rose Story Johnson of the home; son, Mark Johnson of Lexington; grandson, Londen Johnson; father, Kennith Johnson and wife, Glenda; brothers, Scott Johnson, Rodney Phillips, both of Lexington, Johnny Johnson of Thomasville, Dale Phillips and Tim Phillips, both of Salisbury; sister, Susie Swing of Lexington; nieces, Christy, Somer, Morgan, Melea, Wendy, Kayla, and Baleigh; and nephews, Nicolas, Alex, Chase, and Richie.
