Rev. Kenneth C. Marshburn, 66, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, with his devoted wife, Evelyn, by his side.
The family will receive friends on May 31st from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Lexington. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Bishop Wayne Huntley. A private family committal will take place afterward at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Kenny was born on October 10, 1958, in Jacksonville, NC, to the late C.W. Marshburn and Grace Hardison Marshburn. He was a loyal and loving brother to his siblings and a steady presence in their lives.
On February 9, 1980, Kenny married the love of his life, Evelyn. Their 45-year marriage was a testament to deep love, unwavering faith, and joyful partnership—a love story admired by all who knew them. Together, they raised two sons, Carson Wade and Cody Wayne. Kenny’s pride in his boys was unmatched. When Carson married Amanda and gave him grandchildren, Cooper (“his puppy”) and Bristol (“his princess”), Kenny’s heart grew even fuller. Being “Pop” brought him immeasurable joy.
A man of profound faith, Kenny was a licensed minister since 1983. He served five years as a full-time evangelist and dedicated the last 35 years as Pastor of Landmark United Pentecostal Church. His leadership, preaching, and compassion touched countless lives. He was also a published author, leaving behind both a spiritual and literary legacy.
Kenny was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors—whether in the woods or by the water, he found peace in God’s creation. But more than anything, he loved his God and his church. His faith guided every step of his life, and his commitment to the Kingdom left a lasting impact on everyone he ministered to.
Kenny made sure his family never wanted for anything, and in return, Evelyn made sure he was loved and supported every step of the way. Her steadfast love and the strength of the Lord were always by his side.
Rev. Marshburn’s life was marked by deep faith, faithful service, and enduring love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
