Kent Rayvon Pressley, 85 of Giles Road in Lexington, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at his home with his loving children by his side.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday Jan 9th, 2026 at Meadowview Presbyterian Church with Rev. Pablo Ayllon officiating services. Burial will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service on Friday January 9th at the church.
Mr. Pressley was born December 29, 1940 in Davidson County to Perry Guy Pressley and Claudia Hufton Pressley. Kent enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved his church and lived a faithful life and was kind to everyone. Kent worked for Coble Diary for 20 plus years and worked for Lanier Wholesale Meats and Quality Wholesale Meats. He retired at the age of 79 to take care of his wife who was ill. He volunteered for Tyro Fire department for 24 years and served a few years as Assistance Fire Chief.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn H Pressley of 61 years his parents; a son-in-law, Kenny Wright, three brothers Donald Pressley, Roy Pressley and Paul Pressley, two sisters Bobbie Miller and Baby Glenda Faye Pressley. His brothers-in-law Clifford Helmstetler and Doug Helmstetler.
Surviving are his children: son, Glen Pressley (Tracy) of Lexington; two daughters, Kim Allen (Steve) of Lexington and Karen Pressley Wright of Linwood; grandchildren Stacey Wilson (Adam) and Kenneth Wright (Haley) of Linwood, Matthew Allen (Alex) of Wake Forest, Kristen LaFevers (Ben), Camyron Barker (Andrew), Greyson Bowman (Aaron) and Trent Pressley all of Lexington; great-grandchildren Archer and Bellamy Wilson, Bretson, Ridge and Baby Wright, Walter Allen, Emerson and Baby Bowman, Addyson Barker. Siblings Mary Potts, Carolyn Yates (Donnie), Bonnie Jones (Willie), Kathy Snider (Danny), Eddie Pressley (Heyson), David Pressley, James Pressley (Tina), sister-in-law LaRose Helmstetler, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
