Kenton Fritts Leonard, 70, of Swing Dairy Road, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Revs. David Davis and Donnie Lundsford officiating.
Mr. Leonard was born February 13, 1939, in Davidson County to Floyd Mock Leonard and Sylvia Fritts Leonard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; owner/operator of Triangle Auto Service; a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, former choir director; formed the New Testament Quartet and later the Kenny Leonard Trio. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Floye Ann Pope and June Beck.
Surviving are June Penninger Leonard; a daughter, Kelli McPhail; three stepchildren, Michael Cope, Gracalee House and Charlotte Jernigan; seven grandchildren; a special niece, Kaffee Cope and husband, Scott; and a cousin, Rock Goodrum.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday
