Kermit Edward Miller, 71 of Goodman Rd., China Grove formerly of Cloverdale Rd, Lexington died Saturday night at his home.
Mr. Miller was born December 20, 1934 in Duplin County to John Andrew Miller and Tibbie Houston Miller. He retired from Shelba D. Johnson Trucking Co., in High Point, and was a Truck Driver for 49 years. He was a charter member of Faith Chapel, and was a Deacon for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a grandson Bryan Barnhardt and a brother William “Rue” Miller.
Surviving are his wife Mary Edna Carter Miller of the home, son Ricky Miller and wife Tami of Lexington, daughter Gail Barnhardt and husband Dwight of China Grove, NC, four grandchildren; Shannon Bare and husband Brent; Tate Miller; Brandon Barnhardt and Jackie Miller, great-grandson Bryson Bare; brothers Brantley “Roe” Miller and wife Annie; G.W. Miller of Beulaville, NC; John Miller and wife Virginia of Deep Run, NC; Furnie Miller and wife Helen of Thomasville and Bobby Miller and wife Nancy of Lexington; and sisters Ruby Lee Turner of Pink Hill, NC and Carol Jane Williams and husband Jimmy of Beulaville, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2006)at Faith Chapel. The service will be conducted by Bishop Ronnie Shaw. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington, at other times at the home on Cloverdale Rd., Lexington.
