Kimberly Faulk Hege

Kimberly Faulk Hege, 67, of Welcome, North Carolina, passed away at her home on December 16, 2025. Born on July 7, 1958, in Takoma Park, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Lee Faulk and Nancy Mae Collins Faulk.

Kim dedicated much of her life to hard work and service to others. She spent 23 years employed with PPG Industries and later followed her calling to care for others by becoming a Certified Nurse Aide at Lexington Health Care. She took great pride in her work, and her strong work ethic and compassion were strong attributes of her character.

Kim had a deep love for nature and animals. She found peace and joy working in her yard and was especially devoted to caring for her beloved fur babies, who brought her great comfort and companionship. In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandi Denise Mize.

She is survived by her son, Tyler Barnes; her grandson, Jayven Barnes; her sisters, Sandra Causey (Jimmy), Lori Savicki (Paul), and Linda Glenn; her nieces, Tonya Glenn and Anissa Wall (Ian); her nephews, Michael Glenn, Billy Colley, Seth Causey, and David Savicki; and her great-nieces, Everlee Woodberry and Adeline Wall. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Kim's life will be held at a later date, when family and friends will gather to remember and honor her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to a local animal rescue or shelter.
