Kitty Ann Greene

Kitty Ann Greene, 82, of Lexington, passed away Monday May 29, 2023 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 Thursday June 1, 2023pm at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Anthony Hipps, (Mrs. Greene’s son-in-law) officiating services. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 31st from 6-8pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Greene was born May 29, 1941 in Davidson County to William Christopher Burkhart and Lilly Crotts Burkhart. Kitty enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, camping, and reading in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Maria Danette Greene Metters; two brothers Claybern Burkhart and Bryce Burkhart; and three sisters, Vera Young, Ruth Briggs and Gladys Briggs; and a brother-in-law, Gene Smith

Surviving is her husband, Richard Wendell Greene of the home a daughter, Robin Greene Hipps (Anthony), of Lexington; 1 grandchild, Ashley Metters Garwood (Tony), 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Theda Smith and a sister-in-law, Maxine Burkhart.
