Klynt Maurice Nifong

Mr. Klynt Maurice Nifong, 77, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 5, 2019

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Center United Methodist Church with Reverend Mitch Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm prior to the service, at the Christian Fellowship Center.

Klynt was born in Davidson County on December 10, 1941 to Ira Lee Nifong and Dorthea Tesh Nifong. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was very active in many horse related events. Mr. Nifong was the founder of The Davidson County Horse Association and was an active member for eighteen years. He was also a member of Cowboys for Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Gayle Lanier Nifong; his sons, Kent Nifong (Heidi) of Welcome; and Kyle Nifong (Brandy) of Lexington; brother, Grady Nifong (Carol) of VA; sister, Shirley Nifong Craver of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Hallie Nifong, Owen Nifong both of Lexington and Nathan Nifong of Welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center United Methodist Church-General Fund

Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Nifong family.
