Kristie Essick Davis

Kristie Essick Davis, 46, of T.P. Sowers Road, loving wife, mother, and Nana, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26.  She fought a courageous battle with cancer since February 2016.  She never gave up the fight, even to the very end.  Her beautiful smile and loving kindness will be missed.    A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, November 30 at Churchland Missionary Baptist Church, by the Rev. Jerry Wilkes.  Burial will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery.    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.    Kristie was born May 7, 1970 in Forsyth County to Ed and Ann Amos Essick, who preceded her in death. She graduated from North Davidson High School and was the administrative coodinator at Smart Start of Davidson County.  She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church.    She is survived by her husband, Eddie Davis and her son, Christopher, of the home; her daughter, Kristina Brown and grandchildren, Kierstin and Cayden Brown; her in-laws, H. W. and Marcine Davis; numerous brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Churchland Baptist Church, 7516 S. NC Hwy 150, Lexington NC 27295 or to Smart Start of Davidson County, 306 E. NC Highway 64, Lexington NC 27292.
