Lacy Lee Jarrett, 80, of Leonard Road, died Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at High Point Regional Hospital following a serious illness of one week. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church , where he was a member, with the Revs. Vernon Richmeier and Eugene Cassada officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Spencer. Mr. Jarrett was born June 29, 1929, in Davidson County, to Luther Franklin Jarrett and Millie Ada Myers Jarrett. He was a repairman at Stanley Furniture. Mr. Jarrett was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and usher at his church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Franklin Jarrett; and sisters, Clara Everhart and Dorothy Everhart. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Call Jarrett of the home; sons, Gary Lee Jarrett and wife, Linda, and Mark Kendall Jarrett and wife, Vickie, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, Christa Crews and husband, Joshua, Joseph Jarrett,Tabitha Cassada and husband, Rev. Eugene Cassada; Amanda Walters; and Elizabeth Shell; great-grandchildren, Kristen Cassada, Kaleb Cassada, Jarrett Cassada, Dakota Crews, Hunter Crews, MaKenzie Crews, Ryleigh Crews, Dre’ Shell, Taylor Shell, Hayden Shell, and Lukas Jarrett; and a brother, Lester Jarrett and wife, Deanie, of Ahoskie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p .m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, 382 Walser Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or a charity of the Donor’s choice.
