Lacy Thomas Weaver

Lacy Thomas Weaver age 68, of Old Linwood Road, died at his residence on October 27, 2012 after a 4 year illness. A funeral service will be held, 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church where he was a member, with Revs. Francis Smith and Kirk Blankenship officiating, with military honors to follow.   Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.   Lacy was born, October 21, 1944, in Lexington to Charles David Weaver and Lena Cooper Weaver. He was a retired, U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer with 21 years of service. After service he worked and retired from Billings Frieght. He was preceded in death by his mother and his father who was killed during WWll.   He is survived by his wife, of 48 years, Shirley Kersey Weaver of the home; sons, Tommy    Weaver of Lexington, Chris Weaver and wife Danielle of Greensboro; daughter, Robyn Weaver Bruton and husband Richard of  Camden, N.C.; brothers Richard Jones of Jacksonville Fla. And Jim Jones of High Point; sisters, Nancy Carol Loflin of Biscoe, Linda Lou Gaddy of Troy and Peggy Benard of Arnold Mo; grandchildren, Rebecca, Ryan, Kylee, and Camryn Lacy who was born  last week, October 21, 2012 on her grandfather’s birthday.   Memorials in memory of Lacy can be made to Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church, One Grace Way Drive, Lexington, N.C. 27295.   The family would like to extend their thanks to the Meadowview family for their kindness and support during Lacy’s illness.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
