Lala Gray Beeker Tussey, age 93, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2024 at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville, NC.
Lala was a graduate of Reeds High School, which she proudly represented as a cheerleader and homecoming queen. Lala enjoyed her job as a substitute teacher at Davidson County Schools for several years before working as an office bookkeeper, where her keen sense of organization served her well. Miss Lala was called upon to direct countless weddings for friends and family. She was also a member of the Reeds Civitans for a number of years, where many lifelong friendships were made.
Lala will be missed by all who knew and loved her for the unyielding kindness and steady patience she had towards others. She looked to her bible and daily devotionals for guidance and prayer, often shared with her family as great comfort.
Lala was preceded in death by the love of her life, David Arthur Tussey, after 64 years of marriage along with her parents, Elmo and Alice Myers Beeker, sisters Hilda Seaford and Melba Leonard, and brothers Harold, Graham, and Burton Beeker.
