Lama Hedrick Beck

Lama Veigh Hedrick Beck 99, died Tuesday April 20, 2010 in Britthaven Nursing Home after declining health of 2 years.  A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Beck’s Lutheran Church where she was a member with the Revs. Ray and Ruth Ann Sipe officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Beck was born in Randolph County on June 10, 1910 to Madison A. Hedrick and Lenora Williams Hedrick.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Young at Heart Club at Beck’s Lutheran Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gurney McCoy Beck and daughter, Delores Alexander Rose.   Surviving are son, Gurney David Beck of Chipping Norton, UK and daughter, Nancy Jo Freeman and husband Ned of Kernersville, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.   Memorials may be directed to Beck’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 441 Beck Church Rd., Lexington, NC 27292 or  Hinkle Hospice House 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
