Larren LaVerne Hall, age 90, of Comer Lane, Lexington passed away Wednesday (October 27, 2010) at his home. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday (October 29, 2010) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors.
Mr. Hall was born in Darlington County, SC January 16, 1920, to Dennis Edward Hall and Mary Watkins Hall. He was a retired insurance agent with American National Insurance Company of Winston Salem. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mildred Blount Hall in 1966.
Surviving are: his wife, Melba Williams Tate Hall of the home; three sons, Dr. Dennis Hall and wife Carol of Concord, Steve Hall of Welcome and M. David Hall of Clinton; two daughters, Sharon Hartman and husband Tom of Zebulon and Judy Dawkins Keaton of Myrtle Beach, SC; three step daughters, Deanna Case, Bobbie Renee comer and husband Ed and Tracie Thomas Leonard and husband Gary all of Lexington; three step-sons, Robert Keith Tate, Kelly Gray Tate and Kenneth Dale Tate all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, 26 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie McKnight of Rockingham.
