Larry Ball

Mr. Larry Ball, 85, of Lexington, died Sunday, December 22 at Duke University Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 28 at the Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel, by Pastor David Hedrick.  Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Ball was born June 15, 1939 in Davidson County to William Elmer Ball and Clara Johnson Ball.  He retired from RJ Reynolds and was a member of Midway Methodist Church.  His brothers, Bruce Ball (Jean), Wilbert Ball (Ruby), Donald Ball (Angie),and Ralph Ball (Jean); and his sisters, Laurene Leonard (Grover), Auvilla Nifong (Marvin), Nellie Frances Johnson (Vernon), and Clara Mae Weisner (Odell), and his brother-in-law, Woody Weisner, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Guy Ball of the home; his step-daughters, Kimberly Carmichael (James) and Amy Woods (Butch); his sister, Evelyn Weisner; his grandchildren, Zachary Pendergrass (Rebecca), Clay Carmichael (Lauren), Cory Carmichael (Cassidy), and Mason Pendergrass; and his great-grandchildren, Greer, Presley, and Oliver.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Midway Methodist Church, 9795 S. Old Highway 52, Lexington NC 27295.
