Larry Wayne Brown, 71, of Hedrick Mill Road, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center following declining health for one year. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 28, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and other times at the home. Mr. Brown was born January 7, 1945, in Iredell County, to Joseph Boss Brown Sr. and Lucille Powers Brown. For over 50 years he was owner/operator of Young BP Service Station. He was also a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. He loved horses, motorcycles and cars. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his loving wife Brenda Lou Ensley Brown of the home; sons, Nelson Brown and wife Gina and Neal Brown, both of Lexington; grandchildren, Kelby Hankins and Ricky, and Hunter Elisabeth Brown; great-grandchildren, Keegan Hankins and Rowen Hankins; brothers, Donald Brown and wife Judy of Lexington and Joseph Boss “Joe” Brown Jr. and wife Lisa of Walkertown; and sister, Elaine Lancaster and William of Lexington.
