Larry Franklin Burrow, 69, of David Smith Road, passed away Saturday February 11, 2017, at The W.G. (Bill) Hefner Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be 2 pm Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Psalm 91 Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, and other times at the home of his son Scotty Burrow. Mr. Burrow was born April 3, 1947, in Forsyth County, to Chester Carlton Burrow and Mildred Florence Sink Burrow. He was a life-long heavy equipment mechanic who worked for 19 years for Tara–Clay Farms/ Mize Grading, LLC. He was also self-employed with Larry’s Equipment Repair. He honorably served his country in The US Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Carlton Burrow. Surviving are his wife Nancy Zimmerman Long of the home; son, Scotty Franklin Burrow and his wife Sherry; daughter Linda Burrow Leonard and husband Grayson; a step-daughter Kathy Grady; grandchildren, Christine Gray and husband Jeremy, Cody Burrow and girlfriend Katylin Freedle, Christopher Leonard and Thomas Leonard; step- grandchildren, Braden Edwards, Tyler Grady, Landyn Grady, Easton Grady and Oakleigh Smith; a sister-in-law Kathy Burrow (wife of the late Gary Burrow); nephews, Jonathan Burrow and wife Valerie and Jason Burrow and wife Savannah; and a great-niece Ally Burrow; and an abundance of other family members and friends. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
