Larry Castle

Larry Gene Castle, age 71, of Winston Salem passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at New Vision Baptist Worship Center in Clemmons with Pastor Tracy Webb officiating. The burial will be held at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the Church.

Mr. Castle was born on May 12, 1947 in Boone County, WV to Roy Castle and Cordie Vanhoose Castle. He was a retired member of the United States Army, having served as an infantryman in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Castle and Virgil Castle; and one sister, Roberta Ritchie.

Surviving are his loving wife, Joyce Workman Castle of the home; daughter, Linda Sue Fahnestock (Shawn) of Rising Sun, MD; two step-sons, Jeff Brown (Glenda) of Clemmons and Josh Brown of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Reagan Brown, Kenny Brown, Landon Carter, and Jillian Brown.
