Larry Monroe Cooper, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He was born on November 27, 1941, in Davidson County to the late Lawrence Monroe Cooper and Lillian Myrtle Billings Cooper.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Davidson County, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and quiet strength. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shelia “Kay” Berrier Cooper, with whom he shared many cherished years.

He is survived by his devoted son, Lennie Mark Cooper and wife Ann Morris Cooper; grandchildren Leath Matthew Cooper and Ellen Morris (Mattley Byerly); great-grandchildren Jayce Morris and Sadie Byerly; and great-great-grandchild Eden Morris. He also leaves behind his brothers, Belvin Elmer Cooper and wife Clara.

Larry's life was one of quiet dedication — to his family, to his values, and to those who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to be part of his life.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Craig Saltzer officiating. Burial will at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
