Larry L. Dobey

Larry Leon Dobey, age 71, of Lexington, passed away on Friday June 26, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday July 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home- Hickory Tree with Rev. Dr. Don Clement officiating.  Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service.

He was born in Davidson County on October 11, 1954, to Estel Dobey and Mary Ruth Dobey. He was a machinist at Owens-Illinois for many years. He loved to fish, play golf, spend time with his family and helping others.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his long-time companion, Margaret King; sons, Jonathan Dobey of Winston-Salem and Brandon Dobey of Lexington; brother, Kent Dobey (Sharon); sisters, Rita Gebe (Jack) and Sandy Weisner (Jeff); and a host of nieces and nephews.
