Larry L. Dobey

Larry Leon Dobey, age 71, of Lexington, passed away on Friday June 26, 2026 at Lexington Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

He was born in Davidson County on October 11, 1954, to the late, Estel Dobey and Mary Ruth Dobey. He was a machinist at Owens-Illinois for many years. He loved to fish, play golf, spend time with his family and helping others.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Margaret King; sons, Jonathan Dobey of Winston-Salem and Brandon Dobey of Lexington; brother, Kent Dobey (Sharon); sisters, Rita Gebe (Jack) and Sandy Weisner (Jeff); and a host of nieces and nephews.
