Larry Wayne Epley

Larry Wayne Epley, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on September 16, 1945, in Davidson County, the cherished son of James Howard Epley and Ellen Marie Smith Epley Johnson.

Larry was a man of great character and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a loving father to his son, Larry Wayne Epley II, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Sean Epley. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and kindness that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, Larry was known for his gentle spirit and a heart full of compassion. He touched the lives of many through his acts of kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His generosity knew no bounds, and he selflessly supported his family and friends during both joyful and challenging times.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral service, which will be held on 2pm Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Reverend David Langley will lead the service, offering comfort and support to all who mourn Larry's passing. The family will see friends one hour before the service.

Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest in a place he held dear, next to his Mother – the Lexington City Cemetery. There, surrounded by the beauty of nature, he will find eternal peace and tranquility.
