Larry Everette Garner

Larry Everette Garner, 78, of Lexington, passed away March 21, 2024, at his home in Lexington.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark Murphy and Elder Paul Chriscoe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Davidson Funeral Home.

Larry was born May 24, 1945, in Lee County, to Henry Matthew Garner Sr., and Elsie Godfrey Garner. He was the retired owner and operator of Larry’s Tire Center. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild. Larry loved family gatherings and watching his children and grandchildren play ball. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Canda Faye Kinney who died October 2009 and his brothers, Henry Matthew Garner Jr. and Willie Eugene Garner.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Linda Faye Chavis Garner of the home, daughters, Carrie and Husband Scott Craver, Kim and husband Kenneth Lookabill, Elizabeth and Husband Dwayne Kinney, all of Lexington, Cynthia and Husband Charles Dry II of Rockwell, his grandchildren, Dwayne David Kinney Jr., Matthew Everette Kinney, Kenneth Collin Lookabill, Jordan Renae Dry, and Garner Salois Craver and his great grandchild, Maizey Rae Lookabill. Also surviving are his brother, Clarence Ray Garner of Randleman, and his sister in law Annie Clark Garner.
