Larry Wayne Harrison Sr.

Larry Wayne Harrison Sr., 72, of Loftin Rd., Denton, passed away April 8, 2022, at Thomasville Medical Center.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Crook officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary following the service.

Mr. Harrison was born November 11, 1949, in Davidson County, to Wayne Jessie Harrison and Willa Mae Smith Harrison. He was a retired truck driver having driven all over the United States. He loved to go fishing and playing golf when he was able, loved to go the beach or the lake as long as it was water. Larry Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his dog, Rusty.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Debbie Cheek, of the home, his son, Larry Wayne Harrison Jr., of Lexington; two stepsons, Alex Hilton of West Virginia, and Zach Hilton of Greensboro; one stepdaughter. Ashley Roberts and husband Andrew, of West Virginia; his sister, Lynda Charles, and husband Wayne of Lexington; grandchildren, Hailey Smith, Breanna Harris, and Landon Harrison. Also surviving is his best friend, Buddy.
