Larry Hobbs

Larry Bayne Hobbs, 84, of Becky Hill Road, died Saturday, December 13, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Monday, December 15 at Reeds Baptist Church, by the Rev. Henry Watterson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Hobbs was born June 26, 1930 in Davidson County to Leo Arvil Hobbs and Edith Snider Hobbs. He retired from Williams Gas and a member of Reeds Baptist Church. His wife, Betty Jean Rummage Hobbs, and his daughter, Amy Hobbs, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons, Bayne Hobbs (Becky) and Kerry Hobbs (Margaret), both of Lexington; his daughter, Deborah Thompson (Rodney) of Lexington; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Bassinger of Concord; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
