Larry Wayne Huffman

Larry Wayne Huffman, age 74, off Giles Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday night January 14, 2020 surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 20, 2020 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. David Wooten and Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by NC National Guard and Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

There will also be a celebration of life for Larry that will be held at Koyote Ugly at 1840 US 29 North, Spencer, NC from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Larry was born in Davidson County, October 28, 1945 to James William Huffman and Annie Holloway Huffman. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired owner and operator of Tyro Service Convenience  Store. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Larry Wayne Huffman, Jr. and James William Huffman; sisters, Gladys Brinkley, Irene Roberts and Gail Hill; brothers, Everette, Allen, J.W., Glen, and J.R. Huffman.

Surviving are his loving wife, Rita Owens Huffman of the home; daughters, Ann Huffman of Lexington and Kathy Padgett of Florida; sons, Chad Huffman (Jessica) of Lexington and Johnny Callahan (Rhonda) Polar, WI; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Sue Norman (Curtis) of Lexington; brother, Tommy Huffman (Jan) of Boonville.
