Larry Wayne Hughes

Larry Wayne Hughes, 76, passed away July 9, 2025, at his home in Lexington.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home, 1340 E. Holly Grove Rd., Lexington.

Larry was born to Kenny and Frances McBride Hughes on October 9, 1948, in Davidson County, NC. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a mechanic for the City of Lexington for many years and was a member of Madison Height FWB. Larry loved reading, building, and cars, his love for the outdoors led him to fishing and bird watching.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ruth Hughes, his sisters, Nancy Vestal and Judy Crotts.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons; Dean Hughs, his wife Rita, and Terry Hughes, and his partner, Sherry Stanfield, three grandchildren; Brittany Tussey, Whitney Ferguson, and Shelly Baker; and nine great grandchildren, Gracie, Madison, Bailey, Ashlyn, Easton, Carter, Parker, Chance, and Mason.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Madison Heights FWB Church, General Fund.

Davidson Funeral Home Lexington is assisting the family in their time of need.
