Larry Preston Kearns

Larry Preston Kearns, age 70 of Lake Drive #10, Lexington passed away Saturday (April 25, 2015) at Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday (April 28, 2015) at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Purdue officiating. Burial will follow at Psalms 91 church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home of Tim and Elizabeth Kearns. Larry was born in Davidson County September 12, 1944 to Gurney Lawrence and Dorothy Whitaker Kearns. He was a self-employed mobile home transport operator. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Cindy Norman Kearns of the home; daughter, Crystal Kearns Hewitt of Lexington; son, Tim Kearns (Elizabeth) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jacob Greene, Zane and Seth Hewitt; sisters, Clara Walton and Ina Smith (Bryce) all of Lexington; sister-in-law, Peggy Kearns of Lexington; brothers, G.L. Kearns (Dot) and Marvin Kearns (Katie) all of Lexington; beloved mother-in-law, Gladys Norman of Lexington and his beloved K-9, Molly.
