Larry Koontz

Larry Thurston Koontz, 67, of Westgate Court, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital following several days of illness. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. David Langley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister on Hoover Road. Mr. Koontz was born January 28, 1942 in Davidson County to David Howard Koontz and Veatus Lucille Hanes Koontz. He was a handyman at Ken Tussey Store and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, David Koontz. Surviving are his sister, Lucille Fletcher of Lexington; sister-in-law, Pat Koontz and fiance' Mike Bowers; niece Jody Jackson and husband Keith; nephews, Lane Koontz and wife Becky, Johnny Fletcher and wife Ronda and Mike Fletcher and wife Jessica; and great-nephews Jordan Koontz and Austin Fletcher.
